It's My Birthday!

I've been thinking about my birthday for the past few weeks. For some strange reason, I am incredibly excited to be 29. I'm not sure if it is because I only have one more year until I am 30 or because I have had a great almost decade and have a lot of fantastic memories. For some reason 29 sounds older and wiser. Sounds silly, I know.

I have a feeling that great things will occur in my 29th year. What those great things are, I'm not sure. A few things I have planned:

  • learn to sew better
  • start my little stitchery business
  • scrapbook, scrapbook, scrapbook
  • learn to take better photographs
  • continue on Dave Ramsey's plan
  • move into a townhome {yipee!}
  • continue to build my food storage
  • be an awesome coupon shopper {I saved over $200 in March and didn't go grocery shopping for three weeks!}
  • read more books
  • think about expanding our little family
In honor of my birthday, I decided to restart my 365 Project. Being in Utah for a month, I never was able to fully start my journaling. I found I looked back at my photos and was uncertain of some of my thoughts behind them. I thought it would be fun to document a day in my life during my last year of being in my 20's.

Here is my first picture

It had to be me on my birthday!

April Fools Joke on Me

My department head scheduled a last-minute meeting. Of course I grumbled and groaned the whole time. I was IMing a few of my co-workers saying how stupid it was. {Yes, not a good thing.} My supervisor started out saying we have to fill out 6 more forms for the Department of Education. On the power point, it stated we have a lot of work to do, and I was getting annoyed as usual. Of course I was still IM grumbling. The next slide then had a birthday cake and song and everyone writing Happy Birthday. That was the best joke that has ever happened to me. They so had me.

The great part of working at home and having a birthday is that no one can see me pretending to work and really blog surfing, eating crepes {my husband made them for me} and watching TV. Today has been great!

Sorry I missed your birthday. I love your list of things you want to do this year.
I also think the 365 idea is great. I haven't done it, really...only a modified version.
