It's Tough Having Hormones

I like to pride myself that I am pretty easygoing. I am flexible and usually can go with the flow. However, when it comes to times when I feel a little out of control, I want my home clean and organized. Living in a 2 bedroom apartment, with a 11 month old, does not lean itself to cleanliness and orderly. At these times, I get a rush of adrenaline needing to get things done. Poor Curtis doesn't know what to do when I am in this mode. I have to say I get things done pretty quickly but then I create more things for myself to do. For example, I felt this rush Friday night. I decided that we needed to "FAll" clean meaning every room needs to be purged and organized. That night every bathroom drawer and closet were cleaned and organized. Saturday, the kitchen reaped my rush. Now I have things sitting out all over the kitchen table of papers and random things that need to be put back into place and organized. So in my effort to clean, my kitchen and bathroom are very clean and organized, but the rest of my home is not. I decided if I do a room a day, I should be done in a few days. Thankfully, the rush can come and go so I do not feel the urgency to get everything else cleaned. I can do it at my own pace and feel satisfaction when everything is done. Until the next rush of hormones...

I am a manic cleaning machine 3 days pre-cycle...and I have learned to ride that wave--because once that wave comes down...

There's no purer energy than pre-period energy, I always say!
Blessings!

It is tough having hormones, however, having gone through the change, there's not so many hormones any more.

Dang...my hubby would think he died and went to heaven if I ever had a "manic cleaning frenzy". Generally for me it is a manic eating frenzy! At least you are getting things accomplished!
