Christmas Traditions and Idealism

Every year I have these grand plans of what I would like our Christmas season to be like. I envision how my home will look like, all the baking I will do, and all the fun traditions we will start. For some reason, the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas seems to be much busier than usual and the 25th comes before I know it. As in Christmas pasts, these dreams have not come true.

I try not to put too much pressure upon myself. Instead I am giving myself praise for small things I have done. Last night, we took cookie plates to friends and did some caroling (well, we did one sentence, my
hubbie and I do not sing.) On the way to our first home, my hubbie mentioned it would have been nice to include a story. I told him it was in the grand plans of things. I had the story picked out and the paper to print it on, but the time just slipped away from me. But, at least I got the cookies made!

Here's to another season of a few traditions started and many more plans to do next Christmas! Merry Christmas!

Well, glad you had a very Merry Christmas... it's all about how YOU spend it anyway, not how much you can do or get done... sounds like it was PERFECT!!!!!!!
